The question is based on the information given below:

Seven cars of different colours Red, Pink, Black, White, Yellow, Grey and Blue are parked in a row facing the same direction. Further it is known that -

I) Exactly three cars are parked between Yellow and Black Cars and neither of them is parked at any of the extreme ends
II) The Black car is parked to the right of the Grey car.
III) Exactly two cars are parked between the White and the Pink cars.
IV) The Grey car is parked between the Pink and the Blue cars.
V) The Red car is to the left of the Yellow car.

If exactly two cars are parked between the Yellow and the Grey cars, then which car is parked at the extreme right end?

  1. Answer to the Question-

As Yellow and Black have 3 cars between them and none of them are the extreme ends then -
    _ Y/B _ _ _ B/Y _

From II and IV Grey should be to the left of Black and between White and Pink, hence Black cannot be at second position from left.

    _ Y _ _ _ B _

As there are exactly 2 cars between Pink and White and Grey is between Pink and Blue and as the Red car is to the left of the Yellow car the following arrangement is possible.

Red Yellow Blue White Grey Black Pink

Hence Pink is parked at the extreme right end.
